Choose a Church to Attend A Weekly Worship Service

There’s lots of Jesus focused and God glorifying churches in our county.  Pick one that makes sense for you.

Consistently Attend Worship Services for 6 Straight Weeks

There’s something to be said for the power of new habits.  The impact of weekly corporate worship together can’t be overstated.  If you miss a Sunday service, don’t feel guilty, just start your counting over and aim for 6 in a row.  Your momentum will be measurable.

Consume What You Hear by Following Along The Next Message Series In Your Bible & Taking Notes

Don’t spectate, participate.  If you do your part to open up & tune in, God will do His part to nourish your soul with truth & insight. Good believing will bear the fruit of good behavior, not the other way around.

Consolidate Your Affections  By Listing All Things That Occupy Your Free Time And Replace One With More Private Prayer & Worship

Is everything you do with your time more important than more private prayer & worship? We always have time for what want to have time for.  Put your limited free time to work for you.  Take the huge step of purging a distracting cross-wind by setting your sails in the direction you desire to go and set sail! Bible, pen, journal and a quiet place. Sail on!

1000 Door hanger Easter Weekend invitations delivered to doors.
* 800 invitations hung during the prayer walk on Sunday
* 200 Invitations delivered by the 10 families who responded to a challenge to Prayerwalk their own neighborhoods

Thanks to our Missions Team & volunteers for serving. (Kristi Luckette organized a perfect meal & Jon Whiteway mapped our initiative)

Please ensure, church family, (as always) that we extend ourselves in warm , real and meaningful friendship to anyone you might come in contact with during our worship services.

How To Serve The Refugees In Our City By Serving at Hopeprint

I wanted to make you aware of a volunteers breakfast training taking place at the Hopeprint home (129 Lilac Street) on March 31st from 10-11:30am.  Some veteran volunteers will head out into the neighboorhood to invite some of our community to join us in our spring session at Hopeprint.

The rest of us, as new or interested volunteers, will spend some time in training.

If you are trying to get plugged in at Hopeprint or if you have been volunteering on a regular basis, it is HIGHLY encouraged that you attend this meeting, to ensure that we all have a clear direction for the start of our spring session.

There are new programming and different volunteer opportunities starting up in April, along with some changes.  ATTACHED HERE is a list and description of some of these new opportunites coming this spring, please look it over.

It’s our belief that this will help to create a needed sense of community for Hopeprint volunteers and make sure that communication stays open across all programming.

There’s two ways to get involved: Join the church-wide walk or take one individually on your own street.  We provide the invitations, you provide the prayer walkers. Easy. Oh, and don’t get caught slacking…Resist the urge to let someone else do the work of The Church.  You’re the Church.  Be the Church.

  • canceling a debt when we feel we have every right to demand payment. 
  • absorbing the pain, hurt, shame, and grief of someone’s sin against us.
  • longing for repentance and restoration.

Summary Truth: 

This costly forgiveness is exactly how God has acted toward us in Jesus Christ. And through the gospel, the Holy Spirit empowers us to do the same toward others.

Self Reflection

Think of one or two people you need to forgive (or forgive more deeply). If you have a hard time thinking of someone, ask God to reveal someone to you. Here are some scenarios and feelings that might bring someone to mind:

  1. someone you have distanced yourself from;
  2. people you feel uncomfortable around;
  3. people you no longer enjoy;
  4. relational conflicts you keep rehearsing in your mind;
  5. someone who said or did something that hurt you;
  6. feelings of anger, bitterness, irritation, fear, gossip, or a critical spirit.
  • What irritates or disturbs you most about this person?
  • What issues of “justice” are involved in the situation? How has this person wronged you, hurt you, or sinned against you?
  • What conditions do you instinctively want to place on this person before you truly forgive him or her? In others words, what does your heart want to require from this person before you release him or her? What specifically would you desire the person to say or do?
  • Describe your own debt before God. How is it far greater than the debt of the people you have listed (yet it is cancelled and forgiven)? Do not rush through this question. Take time to describe your indebtedness in terms of the specific ways sin manifests itself in your life.
  • How has your previous way of relating to these people reflected a small view of your own debt and a small view of Christ’s forgiveness?
