When we choose to follow Jesus, it’s important we don’t keep the good news to ourselves. Jesus asks us to celebrate that decision with our family, friends, and community around us through baptism. Baptism might seem like an unnatural way to share the news about our faith, but it is something Jesus has asked all of us to do, and something even he did himself. Let baptism be the start of many conversations you will have as you share your faith with others.
The Bible clearly teaches that baptism is the first step of obedience after making a commitment to Christ. Baptism allows a Christ-follower to communicate to the world their heart-felt commitment to Christ. People often have questions regarding baptism: Why should I be baptized? I’ve already been baptized. Do I have to do it again? Does it matter if someone is sprinkled or dunked?
Baptism is a requirement for membership at North Central Church.
